Meet the team
John Christianson
Chief Operating Officer
John Christianson, an industry veteran for over 30 years in which he has spent the last 20+ years with Lilly Broadcasting, in multiple management roles. John started his career as a teleprompter operator/ videographer and with a background in journalism, quickly moved up the ranks where Christianson was promoted to News Director. Through his hard work and dedication to Lilly Broadcasting, he became General Manager at WSEE the CBS affiliate in Erie, PA, overseeing the launch of the UPN, WB in Erie Pa. As part of Lilly’s expansion efforts, John helped create and launch One Caribbean Television Network, which is now broadcast in 32 different countries.
John continued to grow within the Lilly organization, being named General Manager for WTVG the ABC affiliate in Toledo Ohio and in 2013, promoted to Executive Vice President for Lilly Broadcasting and General Manager for KITV the ABC affiliate in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2016. In 2022, John was instrumental in launching WZMQ the CBS affiliate in Marquette, Michigan and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Lilly Broadcasting.
As COO of Lilly Broadcasting, Christianson is responsible for managing the logistics associated with running all business platforms and carrying out all of a company’s essential duties, including employee and management structure, auditing various workplace processes and implementing new strategies to improve efficiency and communication across all parts of Lilly Broadcasting’s media company.
In 2024, John oversaw the launch of PowerPlay Digital, a super-reach streaming company, scaled to create local digital partnerships with SMB’s and Mid-Market businesses across 32 Caribbean countries, all US territories including the USVI, Puerto Rico, Guam and all 210 DMA’s across the United States. Through PowerPlay Digital’s data driven, hyper-local OTT/CTV offerings, PowerPlay quickly became one of the leading digital companies within the industry.
Dominick Patrone
Executive Vice President of Digital Partnerships
Prior to joining Lilly Broadcasting and PowerPlay Digital, Dominick was the Vice President, Director of Sales for iHeart Media’s KTVG for 15+ years, where he most recently managed the Multicultural + MBE New Business Development efforts for one of the leading diverse owned media groups in the country. He was tasked with implementing a go-to-market strategy across OTT/CTV, Display, Sponsorship, Local Sports, and Linear video offerings while building and managing C-suite partner relationships across fortune 1000 ad agencies, brand stakeholders, and holding companies, leading their agency and brand integration efforts. Dominick’s tenure with KTVG has included various management roles while he worked cross-functionally with the sales teams and leading advertising multiplatform agency sales for over twenty media companies nationally.
At Lilly Broadcasting, as the VP of Digital Partnerships, he managed the company’s re-development efforts and launch of a new IP-delivered streaming AdTech platform, enhancing DSP/SSP partnerships and development of their OTT/CTV business strategy. Dominick’s responsibilities included the evaluation and integration of technology partners, enhancement of internal tech stack and overall collaboration with internal department leads.
As the EVP, Digital Partnerships at PowerPlay Digital, Dominick oversees all SMB and Mid -Market CTV/OTT partnerships across Puerto Rico, USVI, Guam, Caribbean and all 210 DMA’s within the US. Dominick is tasked with managing the full sales cycle across Puerto Rico, USVI, Guam, Carribean and US local sales teams while aligning overall OTT/CTV sales strategy across Retail, Multicultural and Political business categories. Additionally, he is responsible for continuing to enhance PowerPlay’s omnichannel sales enablement and integration of Lilly Broadcastings owned and operated local TV, Radio and digital properties.
Doug Rogers
Digital Technology Manager
Doug is an industry veteran with over 10+ years in local digital technology and sales experience. As the Digital Technology Manager at PowerPlay Digital, Doug brings extensive knowledge helping to leverage internal ad tech and data to enable high levels of success across the digital and linear sales teams. As an integral part of the PowerPlay Digital team, Doug works on further development of our technology stack across PowerPlay and Lilly Broadcasting’s TV, Radio, CORE Digital and OTT/CTV companies. As a critical thinker, Doug is tasked with further development of our dashboard integration, OMS technology and enhanced Ad Server partnerships, to help support all company digital sales efforts.
